Most mainstream dental providers cannot treat children with cancer, hemophilia, sickle cell disease, autism, and other serious illnesses that complicate dental problems. As a result, many young children suffering from these diseases do not receive needed dental care, especially those from low-income families.
The only one of its kind in Northern California, La Clínica offers full dental services for these special needs children at its Pediatric Dental Department in Oakland's Children's Hospital.
