La Clínica’s newest addition, Vallejo – Great Beginnings, is the only medical facility in the Vallejo area that specializes in perinatal services for uninsured families. These crucial services for mothers and their unborn babies are the first step in enabling a child to lead a healthy and happy life. By focusing on these perinatal services, La Clínica works hard to provide a “great beginning” for many families in Solano County who would otherwise struggle to do so.
Most all of these patients deliver their babies at Sutter Solano Medical Center conveniently located next door to Great Beginnings. On staff, we have midwives as well as doctors. Providers from Sutter Solano Medical Center also assist in caring for patients at Great Beginnings, visiting Monday through Friday for a period of two hours.
At Vallejo – Great Beginnings, we provide comprehensive services including nutrition, psychosocial and health education including childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, carseat safety, infant safety and baby care classes.
