Among our many busy sites, La Clínica’s San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center has been the most impacted by the need for affordable health care in the community. The demand for services at San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center has far exceeded their available space. Every day, the clinic is forced to turn away people needing health care.
In response to the growing need for affordable, high quality health care services in the San Antonio area, La Clínica de La Raza purchased the building next door to the San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center. The Board of Directors has approved a $9.85 million expansion and renovation project at the current site of the Health Center which will:
- Serve 5,000 more patients annually
- Double the space from 6,528 to 15,838 square feet
- Increase the number of exam rooms from 10 to 20
We are happy to announce that we have reached our goal and have raised over 4 million dollars for the San Antonio Expansion Project. We are now assured that the expansion will become a reality and La Clínica will be able to provide healthcare to 5,000 more residents annually!!
