San Antonio Neighborhood Health Project Expansion Project Status
The mission of La Clínica is to improve the quality of life of the diverse communities we serve by providing culturally appropriate, high quality, and accessible health care for all.
Green Bar separating Mission and Patient Testimonial
"The number of languages and cultures involved at San Antonio Neighborhood Health Clinic is amazing. One moment, I’ll be serving a Latino patient in Spanish, and the next I’ll have an interpreter helping me to serve a Yemeni patient. But the challenges are not only linguistic ones. Cultural factors make for an interesting work-day, as well. We have to keep in mind all sorts of cultural norms and mores while treating patients or even structuring our services. I think La Clínica is adept at handling this. Part of the reason for this is that our staff mirrors our community, so we know our patients very well. But also, it is a real privilege to work as a provider with people who are treated irrespective of their ability to pay."
Dr. Thomas Halligan is a Family Physician and the Associate Medical Director of the San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center (SANHC).
