Mental Health Services
La Clínica de La Raza's Mental Health Department, Casa del Sol provides psychiatric, psychological and counseling services to adults, children, adolescents and families. Casa del Sol specializes in treating individuals and families who require linguistic (Spanish) or cultural (Latino) specialty services. Casa del Sol provides services to treat severe mental health difficulties or severe behavioral problems. The following services are provided at Casa del Sol:
- Intake/Screening (ACCESS Service)
Mental Health Intake, Screening, and Referral in Spanish
Call Monday-Thursday, 9AM-7PM, Friday, 9AM-6PM, to schedule an appointment
Spanish Speaking residents of Northern Alameda County - ACCESS Crisis Stabilization Services
Crisis Stabilization (Brief Treatment) Services for individuals undergoing acute mental health crises. Services for Spanish speaking residents of Alameda County who are at risk of hospitalization, or are a danger to self/others. - Specialized Adult Mental Health Services (Service Team)
Treatment of adults with chronic and persistent mental illness. Services include individual therapy, individual rehabilitation, group rehabilitation, family therapy, and psychiatry. - Specialized Children's Mental Health Services
Specialized Children's Mental Health Services
Individual therapy, family therapy, and psychiatry.
For youth up to 18 years old, both Medi-Cal and uninsured. - Medi-Cal Children's Mental Health Services (EPSDT)
Treatment of mental health and behavioral health disorders.
Individual and family therapy available.
For youth up to 21 years old, with full Medi-Cal. - Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Services
Family treatment for families at risk of abuse or neglect.
Parent education/support groups in Spanish only.
Groups start in January, April, July and September. Each group is 12 sessions. - Ryan White Mental Health Services
Individual, family therapy, couples therapy and psychiatry for individuals with HIV/AIDS. - Domestic Violence / Child Abuse Prevention
Assessment and Safety Planning services services for those who have experienced domestic violence.
Domestic violence support group in Spanish for women survivors.
Domestic violence treatment groups in Spanish for children who have witnessed domestic violence.
Domestic violence evaluation and referral for those who have perpetrated violence against their partners. - Education and Support Groups in Spanish
