The eyes are a looking glass inside the body. Regular eye examinations do much more than provide vision correction; they can identify such eye conditions as glaucoma and cataracts, and detect other medical conditions, including high blood pressure and diabetes.
To ensure low-income people in our community have access to eye care, La Clínica offers low-cost optometry and ophthalmology services at our Family Optical clinic in the Fruitvale district of Oakland. Services available include: complete eye and vision analysis, glaucoma and cataracts evaluation, detailed testing for eye disease, and contact lens fitting and evaluation.
We also offer a wide array of affordable lenses and frames, including prescription eye glasses and frames, discount designer frames, fashion tints and sunglasses, new materials for thinner and lighter lenses, progressive lenses (no line bifocals), and hard, soft , astigmatic, tinted and disposable lenses.
